Usually we will ask for a small donation of
£1 for visitors.
However, we do ask for a donation of £1.50
if an outside guest speaker is giving a presentation. These meetings are
indicated by the *symbol on the 2008 Programme.
The programme
is subject to change at short notice. For example, we may exploit a
perfectly clear and dark night and take advantage of the rare
opportunity to do some observing!

To get a flavour of what we do at our Weekly
meetings, please read
Our
Diary where we keep a record from a selection of our previous
meetings.
Our meetings are a varied
programme of activities that include something for
everybody. We hold regular observing nights where members
get a chance to observe the night sky (weather
permitting!) and the 'old hands' can show the newcomers
round the skies. (These Observing Nights are usually on
the 2nd Wednesday of each month)
We also have regular meetings aimed specifically at
beginners. Learn what exciting objects are up there and
how best to see them.
We also have talks given by members on various topics
within the subject, both theorethical and practical.
We would always suggest to anyone potentially interested
to come along to the Club for a few weeks to decide if it
is for them, and sample our varied meetings without
pressure to join.
So why not give the Club a try, and explore the Universe
with us!
